Our story

From one table to Marylebone.

A Brazilian story built in London—with courage, craft, family and the belief that beautiful jewellery can carry something meaningful.

Where it began

I did not begin with a grand shop. I began with a table, a collection I believed in, and the courage to show people what Brazil had taught me to see.

Long before Treasures of Brazil had a storefront, Daiane had two homes in her heart. Brazil gave her colour, nature and an instinct for objects made by hand. London gave her the place to build a new life—and eventually, a way to bring those worlds together.

The business grew one conversation at a time: from home, from markets and pop-ups, and from a single table inside a shop. Customers stopped, tried something on and asked who had made it. That question became the beginning of everything.

An idea begins to take shape

The earliest days were about testing an instinct: that London customers would connect with Brazilian jewellery not only for its beauty, but for the hands, landscapes and traditions behind it.

There was no blueprint—only a clear sense that Brazil deserved to be seen differently.

The shop before the shop

Before a shop window came boxes at home, phone photographs, late-night decisions and the quiet work no customer sees. By September 2021, the collection was meeting customers from a real table at the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole. Daiane learned every part of the business herself—from choosing pieces to telling their stories.

One table. A very big beginning.

That first table inside a shop was small, but it changed everything. It created a place to meet customers face to face, hear what moved them and watch a piece find the person it seemed made for.

Every display was arranged by hand. Every conversation mattered. The table became proof that this dream could grow.

The moment the idea became real.

A community gathers

Markets, showcases and temporary spaces brought new faces and honest feedback. The collection evolved, but its centre held: nature-led design, Brazilian craftsmanship and pieces that start conversations.

The pop-ups became bigger, bolder and busier. They offered a glimpse of what a permanent Treasures of Brazil home could feel like: warm, generous and full of discovery.

Marylebone opens its doors

After years of carrying boxes, rebuilding displays and saying yes to every opportunity, Treasures of Brazil found a permanent home in Marylebone.

The shop is more than a destination. It is the physical expression of the journey: Brazilian warmth, London energy and the stories of makers given room to be seen.

A permanent home, built one conversation at a time.

Brazil

The hands behind the beauty

Treasures of Brazil begins with people. Daiane returns to Brazil to spend time with makers, understand their techniques and select work that honours both material and tradition.

Golden Grass, Buriti fibre, preserved leaves, flowers and natural stones are never just materials. They belong to places, skills and generations of knowledge.

Our role is to share that work with care—and to make sure the story travels with the piece.

Finding a voice—and using it

As the business grew, so did Daiane’s responsibility to speak about ethical sourcing, small business and what it means to build across two cultures. Workshops, events and panels became another way to connect customers with the people behind the products.

Always

The part of the story you do not always see

A growing business did not make family life pause. There were school runs before supplier calls, children waiting patiently through set-ups, weekends shaped around pop-ups, and ideas written down after bedtime.

They have watched the business grow from boxes at home to a shop in Marylebone. In their own way, they grew alongside it.

The dream was mine, but the journey has always belonged to all of us.

Today—and what comes next

Still personal. Still curious. Still growing.

Treasures of Brazil may now have a Marylebone address, but the spirit is the same as it was at that first table: welcome people warmly, choose with intention and tell the story honestly.

Come into the shop, try something unexpected and discover the people, places and natural beauty held within every piece.
